Actuator Types:

Depending on the different types of valves, the required torque and the applications for which they are needed we offer following types of actuators :

Scotch Yoke Actuator

For ball valves and other valves with 90°turn operation the best actuator ist he scotch yoke housing . The scotch yoke system operates with a high start torque a relative low run torque and a high end torque which fit perfect to the torque requirements of a ball valve.

The scotch yoke can be operated by pneumatic, gas, hydraulic or spring container. The combination of different cylinder types enable us to meet a wide range of different applications.With this type of actuator we are able to realize torques up to 600.000 NM .

Rack and Pinion Actuator

For smaller 90° turn valves with lower torque requirement we use rack and pinion actuators. The actuator housing is much cheaper but only useful for torques up to max. 8000 NM.The torque output for these type of housing is linear.

Linear Actuator

For gate valves with linear movement we use linear actuators. The linear movement of the piston rod operates directly the gate spindle.

Also on this type of housing we can mount gas-, pneumatic or hydraulic controls.

With pneumatic cylinders we can work with a tension force of 1.800.000 N (1,8 t) and with hydraulic cylinders up to 5.500.000 N (5,5 t).
